PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Puerto Rico General Rate Increase Effective January 15, 2010
Dear Valued Customer:
In order to continue to provide the fastest, most-reliable ocean shipping services, Horizon Lines will implement a General Rate Increase (GRI) for shipments between Puerto Rico, US, Canada, and Mexico, effective January 15, 2010.
This increase is necessary to help offset the rise in non-fuel related operational expenses. Horizon Lines remains committed to offering the widest array of transportation options to support the economic well-being of the Puerto Rico market. We have invested heavily in terminal improvement projects in San Juan, as well as in vessel modifications and equipment upgrades to best service this market now and into the future.
