PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Petroleum Explosion in San Juan Update # 3
Dear Valued Customer:
Horizon Lines would like to provide an update regarding the unfortunate event that occurred today at the Caribbean Petroleum Corporation in Puerto Rico.
Vessel operations on the Horizon Producer commenced at 1:00 PM today and will depart for an on-time arrival in Jacksonville, FL on Tuesday, October 27th.
We are providing an extended gate until 8:00 PM this evening for dispatch and receiving.
Gate hours will be extended on Saturday, October 24th for dispatch and receiving of cargo as follows:
• 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM Open
• 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Closed
• 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Open
In the near term, Horizon Lines has contingency plans in place to ensure we have the ability to carry out terminal and vessel operations to minimize effects of possible fuel shortages. Our vessels are equipped with enough fuel on the southbound transit to successfully make a roundtrip run without the need to refuel.
