PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Bunker Fuel Surcharge – Effective March 12th, 2012
Dear Valued Customer:
Horizon Lines is adjusting its bunker surcharge. In the face of increasing fuel prices, Horizon Lines has determined a difference in the amount of fuel required to move a refrigerated container compared to a non-refrigerated container. As a result, we will be assessing a different surcharge for each of these classes of equipment based on ocean route.
Effective March 12th, 2012 surcharges will be on a per-container basis as follows:
To or From Jacksonville, FL or Tampa, FL bunker surcharge will be:
$1,100 for refrigerated containers
$1,050 for all other equipment types
To or From Elizabeth, NJ bunker surcharge will be:
$1,190 for refrigerated containers
$1,140 for all other equipment types
To or From Houston, TX bunker surcharge will be:
$1,275 for refrigerated containers
$1,200 for all other equipment types
